List of Heart Diseases

The concept of heart disease is a little misconstrued. It doesn’t just involve major issues like heart attacks and clogging. Heart diseases can be of various kinds, so let’s discuss the list of heart diseases for a better understanding of the subject.

List of Heart Diseases

Heart problems are conditions that affect the heart but may not be fatal even though they can be chronic. They usually cause the quickening of heartbeat, pain in the chest, or even a little discomfort.

Here’s a list of heart problems that may or may not be very severe but you must not ignore the symptoms of this heart disorders list:

Tachycardia

It is the phenomenon where the heartbeat quickens suddenly causing mild discomfort. The condition is usually caused by high blood pressure, intense exertion, stress, fear, anxiety, or anger.

Symptoms:

  • Quickened, irregular heartbeat that may sometimes occur due to no specific reason.
  • The heart rate may exceed 100 beats per minute.

Arrhythmia

It is the father of tachycardia wherein the heart beats abnormally. The heart may start pacing, leading to Tachycardia or slow down too much to cause Bradycardia. This condition in the heart problems list is a result of improper electrical impulses in the cardiovascular system.

Symptoms:

  • Dizziness

  • Heart palpitations
  • Shortness of breath

Angina

Valve disease

The valves in the heart are responsible for passing the blood through to your system. They open and close constantly to let the blood into the heart and out to pass into the blood vessels. Therefore, any problem involving the valves, especially any damage could result in more exertion on the heart muscles, which can lead to other serious conditions on this heart problems list.

Symptoms:

  • Chest pain
  • Fatigue and dizziness
  • Shortness of breath
  • Swollen ankles

Also known as Myocardial Infarction, it is probably the most dangerous and noteworthy condition on this list of heart diseases.

A heart attack occurs when the blood vessels are unable to supply blood to the heart due to blockage or clotting. The lack of blood flow causes the tissues in the heart to perish from the deficiency of oxygen.

Symptoms:

  • Shooting pain up the left arm and shoulder leading to the chest, upper abdomen, and upward towards the jaw.
  • Clenching feeling in the heart
  • Cold sweats and clamminess
